MARK K. HOLDSWORTH

Founder & Managing Partner

Prior to forming The Holdsworth Group, LLC, Mark was a Co-Founder, Managing Partner and Operating Partner of Tennenbaum Capital Partners, LLC, (“TCP”), a Los Angeles-based private investment firm with approximately $9 billion under management and 90 employees. He was also the CEO of several of TCP's funds and was one of the original Managing Partners of the firm. TCP was acquired by BlackRock, Inc. in August of 2018. Prior to co-founding TCP in 1996, Mr. Holdsworth worked as an investment banker and in real estate.

 

Mr. Holdsworth currently serves as a Director of Parsons Corporation (NYSE: PSN), a provider of technology-driven solutions focused on the defense, intelligence and critical infrastructure markets globally where he is the former Chairman of the Corporate Governance and Responsibility Committee. He is currently the Chairman of RF Industries (NASDAQ: RFIL) and is also a former Director of a private company that manufactures high-performance advanced glass fiber materials for the composites industry. Mr. Holdsworth has also served as the former Chairman or Vice Chairman of several companies, including: a vertically integrated food packaging company; a national casual dining chain; a diversified holding company with business units in specialty batteries, minerals, pharmaceutical products, specialty chemicals and auto parts; and, a publicly traded wire and cable manufacturing company.

 

In addition to Mr. Holdsworth’s business affiliations, he is actively involved in a number of philanthropic and local community causes including: former Chairman of the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences Chair’s Council at The California Institute of Technology (“Caltech”); a member of the Board of YPO Gold, San Gabriel Valley; President of the First Tee of Greater Pasadena; a Trustee of Polytechnic School; and, former National Trustee of the Boys & Girls Club of America.

 

Mr. Holdsworth received a B.A. from Pomona College in Physics, a B.S. (Honors) from Caltech in Engineering and Applied Science, and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.

GREG ANNICK

Mr. Annick has over 30 years of venture and private equity investing experience on behalf of institutional and family-office investors during which time he was responsible for all aspects of due diligence, structuring, financing and management of portfolio investments. He is the founder of Pasadena Capital Partners LLC, a private investment and consulting firm, and has served on numerous public, private and charitable boards.

CHARLES L. HARRINGTON

Mr. Harrington has served as Executive Chairman of Parsons Corporation (NYSE: PSN) since his retirement as Chief Executive Officer in July 2021. He was appointed Chief Executive Officer in May 2008. He was named Chairman of the Parsons Board of Directors later that year and President of the corporation in 2009. Before his appointment in 2006 to the position of Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer of Parsons, Mr. Harrington was the founding President of one of Parson's divisions.

MICHELLE KERRICK

Ms. Kerrick spent 35 years with Deloitte and retired in September 2020 as the West Region Marketplace Leader and Managing Partner of the Los Angeles practice.  She has advised a diverse group of publicly and privately held clients of all sizes, in many industries including consumer products, social media, and sports and entertainment.  She also led Deloitte’s National CFO Leadership Program for the West Region.  Ms. Kerrick is currently a Director of American Homes 4 Rent (NYSE: AMH) and of HydraFacial.

Mr. Levkowitz is a private investor and Founder of Signal Hill Holdings,LLC and Penn Properties, LLC. He co-founded Tennenbaum Capital Partners (TCP), where he was a Managing Partner for 25 years and Chairman of the Management Committee. Mr. Levkowitz was also Chairman and CEO of BlackRock-TCP Capital Corp. (NASDAQ:TCPC) for a decade after taking the Company public. Prior to co-founding TCP, he was an attorney with Dewey Ballantine LLP, specializing in real estate and insolvencies. Mr. Levkowitz has served as a Director of both public and private companies and has also served on a number of formal and informal creditor committees.

HOWARD LEVKOWITZ

M. CHRISTIAN MITCHELL

Mr. Mitchell is a director of Pacific Premier Bancorp, Inc. (NASDAQ: PPBI), a regional bank holding company; Western Asset Mortgage Capital Corporation (NYSE: WMC), a mortgage REIT; Parsons Corp. (NYSE: PSN), a global solutions provider to the defense, intelligence and critical infrastructure markets; and, Stearns Holdings LLC, a private equity-owned independent national mortgage company. Mr. Mitchell also serves as the vice chairman of the board of directors of Marshall & Stevens, a national valuation and financial advisory firm. He is formerly a director of Reis, Inc. (NASDAQ: REIS), a real estate information company sold to Moody’s Corp. in 2018; Grandpoint Capital, a private equity-sponsored bank holding company sold to PPBI in 2018; two bank holding companies (one public and one private equity-sponsored); a registered investment company; and an advisory board member of a fund of funds hedge fund and two family offices.

 

Mr. Mitchell is a retired Deloitte senior partner and served as the National or Regional Managing Partner for various practices including audit, enterprise risk services, and financial services during his 26-year career. He was a founding member of the board of directors of Deloitte Consulting USA. In addition, Mr. Mitchell served as an Accounting Fellow to the Federal Home Loan Board in Washington, D.C.

DAVID ROGERS

Mr. Rogers is a private investor.  He had a 30-year career with Latham & Watkins LLP where he was elected to the firm’s Executive Committee.  He is expert in energy and infrastructure development and finance.  In four recent years, he has co-taught a popular Stanford Business School and Stanford Law School course Clean Energy Project Development and Finance.  He also teaches an annual compressed course on International Project Development and Finance at Oxford's Said School of Business.

JONATHAN ROSENTHAL

Jonathan Rosenthal is the Chairman/CEO of Saybrook Management, a private investment firm dedicated to innovative transportation and logistics solutions. Saybrook is committed to supporting disruptive technologies and infrastructure that reduce systemic friction resulting in increased asset utilization (trucks, cars, roads, ports, rail, airplanes, labor, and ships) and a reduction in environmental impacts. His primary activity today is serving as Chairman/CEO of ESP Logistics Technology, a partnership in the development of supply chain visibility and analytics tools with ESRI, the global leader in Geographic Information Systems (GIS).

DONALD L. RUNKLE

During his 30-year tenure at General Motors, Mr. Runkle held a number of high-level executive positions including Vice President and Chief Engineer of GM, Chief Engineer of Chevrolet and Assistant Chief Engineer of Buick. Mr. Runkle co-led the spin-off and IPO of Delphi Corporation and served as Vice-Chairman, CTO on the Board of Directors. He currently serves on numerous public and private boards.

RICHARD SPENCER, CFA

Richard Spencer is a Co-Head of Barings’ Funds & Co-Investments platform and serves as Chairman of the Investment Committee and a member of the Valuation Committee.  He is also responsible for supporting the origination, underwriting and monitoring of all primary fund, co-investment and secondary investment activity cross private equity and real assets.  Rick has worked in the industry since 1986 and his experience has encompassed a number of positions at the firm including Head of the Fixed Income Restructuring Practice, Co-Head of Private Placements and Co-Head of Mezzanine and Private Equity.

ROB TOLLESON

Mr. Tolleson is an entrepreneur, executive and investor having founded and sold three businesses, most recently CPO Commerce, “America’s leading online tool retailer,” which was recognized by Inc. magazine as one of the fastest growing private companies in America for seven years in a row and sold in 2014.

SUZANNE VAUTRINOT

Ms. Vautrinot is currently president of Kilovolt Consulting, Inc., a cyber security strategy and technology consulting firm. She retired from the United States Air Force in October 2013 after 31 years of distinguished service, including as Major General and Commander. Ms. Vautrinot sits on numerous public and private boards including Wells Fargo, CSX and Parsons Corporation.

HUGH STEVEN WILSON

Mr. Wilson has had a diverse career as a Managing Partner of Tennenbaum Capital Partners, a senior partner with Latham & Watkins where he was Global Co-Chair of the Mergers and Acquisitions Practice Group among other senior roles, and has held numerous board of director roles, including his current status as Deputy Chairman of Burford Capital. Mr. Wilson is an expert in corporate governance and activist shareholder defense.
